Product name: Horse Chestnut P.E.

Latin name: Aesculus hippocastanum L.

Active Ingredient: Triterpene saponin glycosides: aescin, which is a mixture primarily of two glycosides (protoaescigenin derivatives)

[Product Origin] ： This product is extracted from the fruits of Aesculus hippocastanum L.

[Plant Description] ： This deciduous tree is named for its large, dark brown seeds. Up to 3 of these are borne in each of the fruits, which are pale green and covered with blunt spikes. The leaves are large and palmately compound, with 5-7 toothed leaflets. It is quite a large tree, often attaining 30 m in height. 。

[Distribution] ： Wild grown or planted in Gansu, HeBei, HeNan, ShanXi, JiangSu and etc.

Appearance: Yellow brown powder.

[Product Specification] ： Aescin NLT 20.0% by UV

[Pharmacological Action] ： Veinotonic and to reduce capillary permeability (and so minimize varicose veins);Treatment of venous insufficiency; Anti-edemic;Anti-inflammatory.

Identification: TLC test shows the evident spot of Aescigenin
HPLC test shows that it complies to the standard.
